Who am I?

…Better question. Who are you?

FAQ

  1. Q: Where on earth did you come up with malkier?
  2. A: Well, it’s the name of a defunct kingdom in a series of
fantasy books that I like to read. The series is called
the “Wheel of Time” and has been written by Robert Jordan.
It’s quite good if you’re into that sort of thing…

  3. Q: Why oh why would you pick that for your domain name?
  4. A: I’ve been wondering that a lot lately (since Amanda and I have
given it out to some people, and they always ask what on earth I
was thinking). I picked it because I liked it, and it’s relatively
short. So if I can get people over the weirdness of the spelling,
it should be fairly simple to get right. Heck, people manage to
remember their passwords, and those are frequently longer and
consist of unpronouncable gobbledygook. But I suspect that the
people that have real problems with malkier don’t have passwords
anywhere near that secure… In retrospect, I probably should
have picked something less cool, but more obvious for the rest
of the world (like my name). Too bad gottlieb.* were taken.

  5. Q: Where’d you get the cool castle picture had appeared in
    the banner at the top?
  6. A: That’s actually from a picture I took with my trusty ol’
Canon Digital Elph S200 when Amanda and I were on our
honeymoon in Ireland. It’s a picture of Blarney castle, home
of the famous Blarney stone that supposedly gives people the
gift of eloquence if they’re willing to lie on their back,
dangle over the edge of the parapet, and kiss the thing.

  7. Q: What other banners have you used in the past?
  8. A: Well, why don’t you just see for yourself.
